It looks as though this week is shaping up to be a slow week. I sure hope not. I had yesterday off due to a lack of students. Currently, I am scheduled to fly with two students this afternoon, however, it appears as though there are some heavy storms rolling into the area. They may cause me to have to cancel my afternoon students. I am still going to drive over to the school as it only costs me about $3 in gas to make the round trip. Hopefully, I can teach some ground instead which won’t bode well for my logbook, but it’ll keep the Benjamins flowing in and I can spend some time calling students to try to fill up my schedule in the coming days.

The weekend looks somewhat promising and the weather should be good as well, so it should be somewhat lucrative there. However, come Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, there is no one on the schedule as of right now. I am fairly confident that will change as we get closer though… I sure hope so.

48 hours without flying and I start feeling really off track and guilty. I am keeping my fingers crossed, hoping that business stays steady.

I can always increase my workload on my side job. I have a small side gig going with my brother that helps to supplement my aviation income. I’ve been blessed lately with being VERY busy at the flight school; I haven’t been able to put in much time for him. However, if things do slow down at the flight school for a week or two, I can jump back onto getting some stuff done on that front.

Additionally, I have begun to study for my ATP written test. Even though I have a ways to go before I hit the 1,500 hours required for the ATP certificate, having taken the written is a good thing to put onto a resume. And it should help me with any regional airline interviews that pop up in the future. I can always sit back and study for that test and stay on purpose.

There are things to do, I just hope I can keep myself in the air enough to keep feeling groovy about my progress.
