At the moment, I am sitting at gate B11 at the Richmond, VA airport waiting to deadhead to Chicago O’hare to pick up my last flight for the day which takes me to Greer, SC for the overnight. Only an hour or so left to burn. I am done with this trip tomorrow and the plan is to arrive in St Louis at 10:37am. I have no idea whether that will be on time (things are often not on time when dealing with ORD and/or United). Assuming an on time arrival, my hope is to get on an AirTran flight home tomorrow. It is the ONLY flight going home with any seats on it. Obviously, the connection is tight, but is 40 minutes. Assuming we get in on time, I’ll just need to be quick in getting over to the B gates in STL. If I miss that flight, then I’ll just have to take my chances on getting on one of the other sold out flights. I hate commuting!!! Most people just work and get to look forward to getting off work and going home. For me, the stress just begins when I get back from a trip because I have to battle out catching a ride home, especially right now when they are all booked up. Oh well. Every flight for the remainder of the weekend is completely sold out due to spring break. In another week or so, the flights will begin to open up again, which will eliminate some stress from my life.

My wife was sweet enough to bring my Jeep windshield frame to the paint shop for me while I was gone on this trip. I am hoping that they take care of the problem for me so that by the time I get home (hopefully tomorrow), I can go and pick it up, mount it Friday, and keep my currently scheduled Saturday glass install appointment.

Not much else to report. Just workin……and stressing a little about the commute. But the best I can do is just not worry about it until I get to “The Lou” tomorrow morning. Then, when I look at the watch, I will be able to decide the best course of action. I can always be first in line to list for the jumpseat. If I miss the AirTran flight, that is probably going to be my ride home. I’ll ride home on the 4:00pm flight in the jumpseat.

Keep your fingers crossed for me.
