So far, so good!

I am studying most everyday, most of the day. But, I am on top of everything. This next week is test free, but the following week is going to bring the first tests. I am in good shape to do well I think.

Been celebrating my wife’s birthday this weekend. She’s 26 years old as of Friday.

Flying, although reduced in quantity, is going well. I am not flying often, but I am averaging 2-3 hours per week right now, give or take. That is enough to keep me current and satisfied with the endeavor. I’ve got keys to a Cessna 150 through a deal I’ve got going with a friend, and I can go and fly anytime I want to, a feeling that I have scantly felt so far in life. Even though I am still a year or two away from airplane ownership, this situation gives me a glimpse of what it will be like. I have proven to myself that I don’t NEED to fly all the time. I just need the freedom to do it when I want to.

Day before yesterday, my wife and I went out and did a sunset flight together. It wasn’t planned at all. I just decided I wanted to go, and off we went. We flew around and watched the sunset and landed right before the end of “evening civil twilight”. Whatever that means. :)

One foot in front of the other….
