About
My name is Bryan Risley and I am currently an unemployed airline pilot formerly with Trans States Airlines based in St. Louis, MO. I flew the EMB-145 regional jet as a first officer. However, I am an active CFI, CFII, and MEI and am always available for flight instruction in the Central Florida area.
In addition to my aviation credentials, I hold a B.S. in Accounting from the University of South Florida. I graduated cum laude in 2005 and have two years experience with a large CPA firm as a tax preparer and a staff auditor for government and non-profit entities. I am currently in school working towards my CPA certificate and plan on having it complete by year end.
One of my hobbies is Jeeping. I have a 1995 Jeep Wrangler Sahara that is my pride and joy. I am a little different than most Jeepers in that I don’t really offroad – like ever. But, it isn’t much different really than a guy owning a BMW roadster and not racing it. I just get a kick out of the simplicity of the machine, the ease of doing your own work, the availability of parts (mostly in the after market realm), and the general following that they have.
Additionally, I am an avid musician specializing in guitar and clarinet.
I currently live in Lakeland, FL with my wonderful wife Joanna.
