Flight Instruction in Central FL
Flight Instruction in Central FL:
Student and I after a great lesson!
Dreaming of earning your private pilot license? Or an advanced rating?
Need a BFR or an IPC? Or just coming back after some time off and want to shake off some dust?
I am a Lakeland, FL based professional pilot. My primary bread and butter is flying as an airline pilot. As such, I log between 800-1000 hours of flight time per year and live and breath aviation on a daily basis. I am a CFI, CFII, MEI, and also hold both ground instructor certificates issued by the FAA (AGI, IGI). With nearly 2,000 hours of logged flight time in 26 different aircraft types, I feel that I can provide the quality flight instruction you require to set your dreams aloft.
I am available to instruct in your personally owned aircraft or an aircraft of your arrangement.
Most flight instructors today are charging between $40-50 per hour for this type of instruction.
My 2008 Rates:
Flight Hour - $35
Ground Hour - $20
I teach for the love of it. I make plenty of money flying airliners. However, general aviation is where my heart lies and I derive immense satisfaction from seeing a new pilot succeed. I really do it for the love of it. What I charge is primarily to cover my professional instructor insurance.
As an additional note: Airline flying requires one to really keep an eye on the number of commercial hours flown outside of the Part 121 operation (airline operations) and as such I am forced to limit the quantity of flight instruction that I offer in a given year to a very small roster of students.
